For those who fancy an interesting afternoon, I would strongly recommend, The Museum of Victorian Science in Glasedale.  It was £20 a head and he only takes four people (no kids).  For that you get two secessions with a good tea in the middle.  You may well have to book a month or two in advance.  Lots of sparks and bangs, interesting for the technical and others. https://www.museumofvictorianscience.co.uk/
