Meet at The Cock Pub in Baldock town centre on Sunday 28 July for 10am start.

There will be plenty of free parking on the High Street on a Sunday with no restrictions. There is also a car park close by just behind the Community Centre and in Tesco as well as in nearby smaller streets.

If you are arriving from the A1(M) direction it is best to take the J9 (Letchworth/Baldock) exit, turn right on the roundabout and follow the signs to Baldock Town Centre. Turn left into the High Street on the mini roundabout. Tesco is on the left hand side of the High Street and The Cock is further along on the right hand side.

The route planned is about 13 miles in total, following the Icknield Way Trail from Baldock, going through Clothall, Wallington, Redhill and Roe Green. The village green in Roe Green is a suitable lunch stop - bring a packed lunch. The Moon & Stars pub in Rushden will be good for a drink after lunch. This pub welcomes walkers and if anybody wants to eat there you would need to pre-order lunch a day or two ahead as they tend to do just Sunday Roast on Sundays. The return journey is via Redhill and will follow the Hertfordshire Way for a while back to Clothall then returning to Baldock
